BY ELLEN CAMPBELL — This summer, Chanticleer Inn B&B welcomed Stay Ashland Sweepstakes winners Beth and Susan to enjoy a fun-filled adventure getaway trip, including a 2-night stay at the Chanticleer Inn B&B, whitewater rafting down the Rogue river, and two delicious dinners!
Ashland-based Indigo Creek Outfitters took our guests rafting on the scenic Rogue River — it was their first time on the beautiful river, and they loved every minute!
Beth said: “The river rafting was a blast! We had a great and knowledge guide. The raft was shared with a super friendly family. We saw bald eagles and ospreys; and witnessed an osprey getting a fish right out of the river. I highly recommend Indigo Creek Outfitters. They made it easy to get to the Rogue and provided everything needed to enjoy the adventure.”
Beth and Susan thoroughly enjoyed dining at two wonderful Ashland restaurants: The Peerless and Pie + Vine. The Peerless is in the middle of the historic Railroad District, their dinner menu features small plates and entrees that capture the flavors of the season and the essence of the Pacific Northwest region. Pie + Vine is right on Main St. serving Italian wood-fired pizzas and pastas. Both have lovely outdoor seating. The dinners gave Beth and Susan a chance to catch up on life: they were old school chums and have not seen each other since they were little kids!
Beth: We had a such a delightful time at the Chanticleer Inn and greatly appreciate winning the package. I want to stay again at the Chanticleer Inn — even if I don’t win a Getaway Package.”
