Whitewater Rafting meets Backcountry Glamping
16 February 15 Rafting | Wildlife
Ashland’s Momentum River Expeditions
has a new river trip for 2015. The Upper Klamath 2-Day Multi-Sport starts from Ashland and combines rafting some of the best summer whitewater on the West Coast with an ultra-comfortable private backcountry camp (think glamping) and options for mountain biking, running, inflatable kayaking, and fly fishing.
Ashland is known as a northwest cultural center but it is lesser known for having a backyard filled with some of the world’s best whitewater rivers. Momentum runs trips in Southern Oregon, Northern California, and Idaho and many start and end here in Ashland. Their trips have been featured in Outside, National Geographic Adventure, Trail Runner, Runners World
, and on Oregon Field Guide
. They are known for having one of the most experienced guide staffs in the country and for taking advantage of Ashland’s local food and farming scene by featuring the valleys produce and products on their trips.
The adventures range from mild to heart-pounding and are a mix of service, relaxation, excitement, and wilderness beauty. For more info on all of their river trips, visit MomentumRiverExpeditions.com
