Chanticleer Inn

Welcome to Chanticleer Inn B&B in Ashland Oregon. This elegantly renovated 1920 Craftsman is located in a quiet Ashland Historic neighborhood -- a short stroll to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, restaurants, galleries and Lithia Park. The Chanticleer Inn offers warm welcoming hospitality, comfortable, quiet and well-appointed rooms, with king or queen beds all with bathrooms ensuite.  Some rooms with stunning views of the Cascades, some room with entrances into the garden -- all reasons why the inn receives a top rating from TripAdvisor.  Relax in an expansive secluded garden which is a certified WildLife Habitat with a waterfall/pond, many native plants, herb garden, and hammock. Or with book in hand, watch the world go by on the porch swing or curl up by a fire with a glass of port or sherry — and don’t forget the freshly baked cookies. Ellen is a gourmet chef, serving a 2-course breakfast in the morning with locally-roasted organic Noble Coffee. Each morning during the Festival season, guests will find the New York Times in the comfortable common area.  The Chanticleer Inn provides guests with fragrance-free products; and uses eco-friendly cleaning and gardening products. For those travelling with canine companions, the garden-level rooms are pet-friendly.

Ellen loves sharing the Chanticleer Inn B&B, a premier Ashland Bed and Breakfast, where she and her staff strive to provide a welcoming, restful and joyous guest experience. Before being an innkeeper, Ellen had a career in the Silicon Valley. The quality of life, with its culture, the arts and surrounding natural beauty, is the main reason for selecting Ashland, Oregon. Ellen is active with the Ashland Bed and Breakfast Network and Ashland Lodging Assn. Also she manages to find time to write (a second cookbook is on its way!), learn tennis, hike, attend performances, and, of course, garden.  For over 12 years, she has lovingly been the mistress of the oldest continuing Ashland Bed and Breakfast. In the Fall of ’07, Ellen published her first breakfast cookbook -Recipes Are Like Pearls … lovely, but not useful until strung together.
