Susan and Adam Lemon

It is often said that "America is a Land of Opportunity”! It certainly has been for Adam and Susan Lemon, having made a life changing decision to move from Zimbabwe, their original home for the past 50 odd years, to Ashland. If they had been told that five years ago today that they would be the proud new owners of Abigail's Bed and Breakfast, would they have still made the same decisions that they made over these past five years? The answer would still be a resounding YES!

Susan has had a passionate “love affair” with food, wine, hospitality and people for the last thirty years of her life. A self taught chef with a thirst for food and wine knowledge, she felt that Abigail’s was the prefect canvas for her "love affair". Adam is the family's “Bean  Counter”– the accountant - the stability in this partnership, who has over the years been greatly influenced by Susan's passion for the hospitality industry. They have a wonderful son, Matthew, who has remained in Africa for the time being. In owning Abigail’s, their greatest achievement will be not only to maintain the high professional standard of hospitality that the previous owners brought to the inn, but to grow and add to it. To that extent both Susan and Adam will aim to give you - their Guests – Good Service, Good Food and Good Value to all who pass through their door, as well as a warm Abigail’s Welcome.
